One of the first organized volunteer fire departments in America was established in 1736 by Benjamin Franklin in Philadelphia. Known as the Union Fire Company, its members worked together to protect their community long before modern fire apparatus, radios, or hydrants existed.

Nearly 300 years later, that same spirit of service is still at the heart of volunteer fire departments across the country.

Here at Bunn Fire Department, we’re proud to continue that tradition—neighbors serving neighbors, answering the call at all hours, and standing ready when our community needs us most.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers, their families, and the citizens who support us. Together, we carry on a legacy built on courage, commitment, and community.

Stay safe, Bunn!
