Statewide Burn Ban in Effect Starting at 6:00 PM Today Outdoor burning is prohibited throughout the Bunn Fire District until further notice

Due to ongoing dry conditions, any outdoor fire can spread rapidly and become dangerous. If you observe an outdoor fire, please call 911 immediately to report it.

The Franklin County Fire Marshal has issued a burn ban prohibiting all burning within 100 feet of any structure. In addition, the North Carolina Forest Service has banned all burning beyond 100 feet of a structure.

Exception: Cooking on a grill is permitted within 100 feet of a structure, provided it is attended at all times.
